Our firm consists of full and part-time design professionals supplemented by a group of project partners with whom we maintain close professional relationships. Partners include writers, detail engineers, estimators, media experts, and fabricators. The structure of our firm allows us to tailor our project teams to the specific needs of our clients and to efficiently focus resources.
Steve Feldman, Principal
Firm Principal Steve Feldman has been shaping visitor experiences for over 35 years. He leads each project team and is personally engaged in every project. His effective blend of leadership and responsiveness fosters a collegial and productive creative environment for the exploration of ideas among clients and team members alike. While his design work has garnered numerous achievement awards, Steve is most gratified by the many long-term friendships he has established with clients and colleagues.
Segrid Pearson, Director Graphic Design
Segrid Pearson has been designing and directing for the nonprofit cultural sector for two decades. Segrid joins SFD after fifteen years at Port Discovery Children’s Museum. As Creative Director, Segrid art-directed exhibits, environments, and all graphics for marketing, fundraising, and educational programming. Segrid graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in Creative Writing/Studio Art and earned her Certification in Exhibit Design from Pratt Institute in New York. Segrid excels in creating compelling visual content for children and adults with thoughtful intent and a keen, imaginative eye. With a background in both writing and image research, Segrid understands that a clear, captivating narrative is the key to a great exhibit.
Jill Feldman, Ph.D., Associate
Senior Evaluator and Education Specialist
Jill's areas of expertise include exhibit evaluation, developmental psychology and early childhood education. She possesses a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Jill has taught early grade school and at the university level, and has authored numerous professional publications.
